In general, what do you hope to get out of this grant program?

I hope to broaden my overall knowledge of American history and gain additional tools and sources to better teach the subject area to students so that they desire to know and learn more of history and civil involvement.

What are you most proud of in your professional life so far?

I am proud of constantly improving on how to integrate with other teachers and work to improve English skills and understanding.

What are your greatest strengths and your biggest weaknesses as an educator?

My greatest strengths are: knowledge of the subject area, flexibility in meeting student where they are and creative content. Some of my biggest weaknesses deal with the need to connect history to the present and how it effects current life in order to foster more interest. Also sometimes I struggle in classroom management.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy hobbies such as golf, fishing and hiking. I enjoy the outdoors and exploring the different important sites in the state and the U.S.
