In general, what do you hope to get out of this grant program?
I hope to gain a better understanding of Social Studies and find a way to mesh it with my curriculum or co teach with a fellow Social Studies teacher.

What are you most proud of in your professional life so far?
I am most proud of my relationships with my students and having all my students pass the exam for ELA II (this was my first year teaching it).
What are your greatest strengths and your biggest weaknesses as an educator?
My biggest strength as an educator is the way I communicate and relate to my students. My biggest weakness is stressing over EOC scores.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends and crafting. I enjoy these things because they both relax and ground me. My family time is so precious and when we get together the love, laughs and food makes me home (Edisto Island) Every time is precious because the elders in the family are slowly leaving us, so I make every moment count. Crafting is my creative way to relax and be at peace.
