In general, what do you hope to get out of this grant program?

(This grant program will probably help me to understand more context about US history and its origin. Being able to see historical sites and artifacts will help me connect abstract concepts to real-life.) This grant will enhance my understanding of US history and will afford a more nuanced understanding of historical figures and people.

What are you most proud of in your professional life so far?

As a teacher, I am proud of this profession because I am able to impart my knowledge to my students. My proudest moment is when my students have made significant breakthroughs in achieving their goals.

What are your greatest strengths and your biggest weaknesses as an educator?

One of my greatest strengths is being able to communicate clearly, adaptability and flexibility to adjust teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs. My biggest weakness as an educator is high expectations that often lead to disappointment. Another thing is I am allowing my personal emotions to impact teaching decisions.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love traveling and taking photos. As an international teacher, being here in the United States opened a lot of opportunities for me to see the world and write about it through photographs of my travel. I also love reading books; John Grisham is one of my favorite authors.
