In general, what do you hope to get out of this grant program?
I am excited to delve in deeper into American History and thrilled to share the learnings I gain here to my students. I am thankful to have authentic experiences from the travel. Furthermore, I would love to be more well-informed about US History in general.
What are you most proud of in your professional life so far?
I am proud to be an International teacher here in the U.S. I am so thankful to God for the privilege to teach here and live my dream, as I fulfill my calling as a teacher.
What are your greatest strengths and your biggest weaknesses as an educator?
As an educator, I love being a manager and a facilitator in the classroom. I am creative as a writer and innovative as a teacher.
One of the most challenging phases in my educator’s life is accommodating multilingual students. I do have a lot of multilingual learners in class but with the help of technology and their assistant teachers, it’s a whole lot better now.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I am part of the Praise and Worship ministry at First Baptist Church Sumter. I enjoy singing worship songs to the LORD and learning to play instruments. I also do photography as a hobby profession. I do wedding photography and travel photography.
